making miniatures for the new skirmishers

I'd read a post about retro-clone wargames, aka Skirmish heartbreakers somewhere a few months ago. I finally got some free time this weekend and decided to revisit the topic. I was pleased to see how indie and arty it all looked. I downloaded some free rules - from here and also from someone I already really enjoy, in fact it may have been from Chris that I'd first read about all of this. So credit to him if it was.

I got to grips with the rules and made some test rolls. Both of the systems seemed really cool to play. Solo and co-op play styles are supported - I'm a big fan of co-op in particular. Before I attempted to get some other humanoids involved I couldn't help but get out the art supplies and give them a good old dusting off. It had been a while and I'd been wanting to get practicing again. The first prototype required a lot of popcorn and sweeties. Hopefully the rest of the warband will materialise quicker.
